Children's Nursing Resources
Who we are
Welcome to Children's of Mississippi
On behalf of Children's of Mississippi, the state's only children's hospital within the state's only academic medical center, welcome. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our extraordinary nursing and interprofessional teams.
At Children's of Mississippi, nurses play a vital role in advancing our mission to provide exceptional care for every child and family we serve. Guided by our Professional Practice Model of Relationship Based Care, we place patients and families at the center of everything we do. Through strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, our nurses create an environment where compassion, collaboration, and clinical excellence thrive.
Our 294-bed children's hospital, along with 23 outpatient clinics located across the state—from Iuka to Biloxi and Greenville to Tupelo—allows us to deliver highly specialized pediatric care while remaining deeply connected to the communities we serve.
The strength of our organization lies in our people. Our nurses are leaders, innovators, educators, and advocates for children. More than 77% of our registered nurses are BSN-prepared, and more than 27% hold specialty certifications. These achievements reflect both the commitment of our nurses to lifelong learning and our dedication to supporting professional growth, evidence-based practice, and nursing excellence.
I am incredibly proud of the compassionate professionals who make Children's of Mississippi a place where children receive not only the highest quality care, but also the kindness, dignity, and support every family deserves.
Whether a child's condition is rare or routine, families can trust that expert pediatric care, delivered with compassion and excellence, is available close to home at Children's of Mississippi.
Sincerely,
