Grant Acknowledgement
MCCTR Grant Acknowledgement Instructions
It is important to acknowledge NIH funding in all publications, including research articles, press releases, and other documents about NIH-supported research.
Publicizing the outcomes of NIH-funded projects and communicating the role of NIH support in biomedical research improves public understanding of how we, the biomedical research community as a whole, are working to improve human health.
For MCCTR Investigators publishing research findings that were funded by MCCTR awards, the following language must be included within research publications, press releases and other public statements, requests for proposals and bid invitations, and other documents describing projects or programs funded with Federal money:
"Research reported in this publication was supported by an Institutional Development Award (IDeA) from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences of the National Institutes of Health under award number U54GM115428."
For more instructions and guidance on acknowledging federal funding in publications, visit Communicating and Acknowledging Federal Funding | Grants & Funding and IDeA Support Attribution Instructions | National Institute of General Medical Sciences.
