Main ContentSurgery at the Hand Center
As part of Mississippi's only academic medical center, including the state’s only children’s hospital, our hand specialists are called upon to handle a wide array of surgeries affecting the fingers, hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders. This includes everything from common conditions, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, to complex reconstruction following injuries, to hand differences found in children at birth, such as missing, joined or extra fingers.
Due to the large volume of surgeries we perform, our teams are well experienced. Additionally, we offer the latest in minimally invasive techniques, which allow our patients smaller incisions, shorter recovery times and faster return to normal activities. For example, we offer a minimally invasive treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome, which eliminates the need for a long incision in the palm.
