Licy L. Yanes Cardozo, MD

Licy L. Yanes Cardozo, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Cell and Molecular Biology and Medicine/Endocrinology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC).

She is a physician-scientist who is actively engaged in both basic and clinical research. Her research focuses on whether and how excess androgen mediates cardiometabolic complications in women. She is also the Research Director of The Center for Gender and Sexual Minority Health and the Internal Medicine Residency Program at UMMC.
