Mississippi Burn Center

The Mississippi Burn Center at UMMC offers high-quality care to adult and pediatric burn patients. With the support of the state's only Level I trauma center and Children's of Mississippi, the Medical Center provides much-needed in-state burn care for Mississippians.

As the state's only academic medical center, UMMC has always cared for the sickest patients. The Burn Center is the natural progression of UMMC doing what we do best; providing complex care to Mississippians close to home.

Dr. Juvonda Hodge, professor of surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine, serves as the medical director of the Mississippi Burn Center and leads multidisciplinary teams of physicians, nurses, pharmacists and allied health caregivers to provide expert burn care. This collaboration benefits Mississippians in need of a wide range of specialists central to their healing and recovery.
