Project SEARCH
Project SEARCH (Special Education As Requirements in Charter Schools) is a national initiative that places young adults with disabilities exiting high school in a hosting job site for 10 months in order to provide them with work experience that could lead to employment. UMMC’s Project SEARCH program started in August 2018 and is a collaboration between UMMC, the Rankin County School District and the Mississippi Council for Developmental Disabilities.
