Express Personal Health: fast-track HIV testing and prevention at MEWI

Mississippi continues to face some of the highest rates of HIV diagnosis in the nation, but Express Personal Health, a Myrlie Evers-Williams Institute affiliate clinic, is here to help change that. Located on the third floor of the Jackson Medical Mall, Express Personal Health offers fast, confidential HIV testing, as well as essential preventive services like PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and STD diagnostic testing—all provided regardless of a patient's ability to pay.

“HIV testing is simple and quick. You’ll get your results in just 20 minutes,” says UMMC HIV Outreach Specialist Rashad Pollard. “If you test positive, we’ll connect you with a primary care provider the same day. Mississippi has a long way to go in HIV prevention and screening, but we’re committed to doing our part.”

For those at risk, PrEP is a highly effective daily medication that prevents HIV, offering nearly 100% protection when taken as prescribed. Whether for testing, prevention, or education, Express Personal Health is working to end the HIV epidemic in Mississippi.

For more information or to schedule a test, visit Express Personal Health at 350 W. Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Suite 3210, call 601-815-5861, or email eph@umc.edu.
