Welcome! Thank you for visiting the University of Mississippi Medical Center Police and Public Safety website. We believe you will find our website informative, convenient and easy to navigate.  While it is just one method to communicate with the member of the UMMC community, we hope you take a few moments to check out all of the services your UMMC Police Department (UMMC PD) provides.

We encourage all of our UMMC patients, visitors, staff, faculty and students to familiarize themselves with our many programs, services, training and crime prevention information.  The information provided through our website enables our UMMC community to partner with us in crime awareness and prevention initiatives.

Your UMMC PD leadership recognizes that in order to foster stronger community relationships, it is critical we remain transparent in our processes. We are committed to the concept of community policing and are continually seeking new ways to improve our relationship with our partners through community outreach and collaborative training initiatives. 

We take the issue of campus safety seriously, and are continuously working to facilitate new programs and develop new and innovative means to secure our campus so everyone who visits, works, learns or receives care at UMMC can do so in a safe environment.  We will continue to share timely and truthful information to our community so everyone can remain aware and help us to keep our campus safe.
