Student and Graduate Opportunities

Nurse graduates

• UMMC hires nurses pending their completion of the NCLEX and graduation as a nurse graduate. Nurse graduate requisitions are posted three times a year, each prior to your graduation whether it be in the spring, fall or summer that you graduate.

Student nurse externs

• UMMC has a great student nurse extern program available every summer for nursing students that have completed two clinical semesters of their nursing program. To participate in this program, you must be in good standing at your school of nursing and have a minimum of a C in all nursing courses.

Student nurse technicians

• Nursing students have to the ability to work as a student nurse tech at UMMC. To work in this role, you must be enrolled in a full-time RN program and have completed one semester of clinical coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
