Distinguished Medical Alumnus of the Year Award

Each year, the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine Alumni Board presents awards to outstanding members of the alumni and friends community. Recipients will be selected by a committee comprised of members of the Medical Alumni Board.

The Distinguished Medical Alumnus Award recognizes a UMMC School of Medicine alumna/alumnus who has made contributions to the health field through research, education, clinical care, health service administration, or public/civic duties. All medical alumni/alumnae who have brought honor and distinction to the UMMC School of Medicine and UMMC are eligible for nomination and include:

• Recipients of the 2-year certificate from the University of Mississippi, Oxford campus

• Those acquiring their medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center Jackson campus

• UMMC resident/fellow graduates – Jackson campus
