Objectives

  • Describe common mental and physical health conditions that co-occur with IPV
  • Discuss the evidence-based systems model of IPV
  • Describe effective strategies for IPV screening, identification, and brief intervention in health care settings
  • Discuss when, how, and where to make referrals for IPV-related treatments and resources
  • Employ tactics to foster safe, stable and nurturing relationships across the lifespan and generation

Virtual Event: Substance Use Disorders (SUD) Monthly Trainings

An ERIC/SIMM Collaborative

Please join us for monthly training sessions focused on substance use disorders.

SCHEDULE:

  • Offered monthly – noon to 1 p.m.
  • 2nd Wednesday of the month

Topics will include:

  • Intimate partner violence
  • SUDs
  • Responses to trauma
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Telehealth interventions
  • Screening tools
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Medications for SUDs
  • Prescription drugs of abuse

Who should attend:

  • Drug court coordinators, case managers, peer support specialists, MDOC/PO officers and anyone who works with those impacted by SUD
