Applying for financial aid
Applicants are encouraged to apply for the FAFSA starting Jan. 1 of the year they intend to start nursing school at UMMC. The FAFSA must be completed each year of nursing school, if the nursing student wishes to receive aid for the academic year. Applicants are encouraged to apply for financial aid, even if they are still awaiting their acceptance letter.
Newly accepted students who need financial assistance should contact Office of Student Financial Services or call (601) 984-1117.
Financial aid support comes from federal, state and private sources.
Priority considerations
Students applying for financial assistance at UMMC must:
Am I a full- or part-time student?
Undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 hours to be considered full-time and graduate students must be enrolled in at least nine hours to be considered full-time.
