About us
The role of the Animal and Telemetry Core is to provide surgical services such as the reduced uterine perfusion pressure (RUPP) model of preeclampsia, implantation of telemetry transmitters for measurement of conscious 24 hr/d blood pressure, heart rate, activity, body temperature; implantation of arterial/venous catheters, and osmotic mini-pumps.

Equipment
- Ponemah Telemetry Systems (Data Sciences, Ponemah system, 60 receivers, and 2 computers)
- Three surgical stations with the necessary equipment, heated surgical tables, and infusion pumps
Core services
Surgical services, implantation of:
- osmotic mini pumps and drug delivery pellets
- arterial venous catheters, and
- radiotelemeters for continuous measurement of blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, and activity
