Extend Engagement

Each NEPAR request may be utilized for a non-employee engagement for a maximum period of one calendar year (exception: “Educational Observer” NEPARs have a maximum period of 3 months).

Prior to the engagement end date, the sponsor, co-sponsor (if applicable), and non-employee will receive an email reminder notice. If the engagement will extend beyond the current NEPAR end date, a new NEPAR should be submitted by the non-employee and sponsor prior to the NEPAR end date.

The non-employee and sponsor should follow the same steps found on the On-Boarding a Non-Employee page. The non-employee must submit appropriate health documentation to the Non-Employee Health Portal to verify that annual TB screenings and vaccination requirements for the next time frame of the new NEPAR. If there is no break in service between the NEPAR end date and the new NEPAR start date, the following steps are not required:

  1. Fingerprinting/Criminal History Review
  2. Basic Orientation

The sponsor should utilize their sponsor dashboard to track end dates so new NEPAR requests are submitted and approved to avoid interruptions in access.
