Michelle Henderson is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UMMC. completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Southern Mississippi and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Mississippi. Michelle resides in Brandon, Mississippi with her husband Brian. She enjoys being outdoors, running, baking, the beach and spending time with their six children.

She completed her Associates of Science in Nursing at Hinds Community College and her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Mississippi. She holds a national certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Leila specializes in the care of pediatric plastic surgery patients and is an integral member of both the Cleft and Craniofacial & Congenital Hand Surgery teams. Leila has a real passion for caring for children and loves getting to know her patients and their families. She lives in Brandon, Mississippi with her husband of 12 years and three small children, their family dog and cat. When not at work, Leila enjoys spending time with her family, making desserts and fun outdoor adventures.

- Monessa "Missy" Wadford, BSN, RN, WCC, OMS
Registered Nurse
Monessa "Missy" Wadford has been a Registered Nurse since 1994 and is a member of the Division of Plastic Surgery at UMMC. Missy is the lead nurse for the Hand and Upper Extremity Center. She received her Wound Care Certification (WCC) in 2006, and Ostomy Management Specialist (OMS) in 2013. Her experience includes staff nursing, management, policy and procedure development, and education in wound and ostomy care. Missy was the recipient of WCC of the year in 2012. She also has served on the Certification Committee as a Subject Matter Expert and Committee Chair. She is currently the President of the IAWCSF Board of Directors.
