At UMMC, you will meet with a multidisciplinary team of breast surgeons and plastic surgeons well before your surgery to discuss the whole spectrum of options for breast reconstruction and develop an individualized treatment plan. Depending on your medical history, reconstruction options might include oncoplastic breast reduction surgery, breast reconstruction with tissue expanders, breast reconstruction with silicone or saline implants, autologous fat grafting, regional muscle flaps, or free tissue transfer (such as ms-TRAM or DIEP flaps).
