Research Interests

My research focuses on early childhood education as a critical, yet frequently overlooked, social determinant of health. I examine how access to high-quality early learning environments influences long-term developmental, educational, and health outcomes—particularly for children from marginalized communities. A central strand of my work investigates the unmet needs of children with developmental disabilities and the systemic barriers faced by working families in accessing affordable, all-encompassing and developmentally appropriate care. Through this research, I aim to illuminate structural inequities, inform evidence-based policy, and promote cross-sector systems that foster healthy development and school readiness for all children, regardless of background or ability.
