Announcements

  • We are pleased to announce the elimination of the GRE exam as a requirement for admission to our MSN and DNP programs! This includes admissions for our Nurse Educator track; Nursing and Healthcare Administrator track; and all six of our Nurse Practitioner tracks within those programs. If you have any questions about the admission process for any of our graduate programs please contact us at admissionCounselor@umc.edu, or 601-815-0124.
  • Statistics is no longer required as a pre-admission entry for the RN-BSN program. Students who lack statistics are eligible to enter the program with 60 hours of prerequisites rather than 62. These students will have two options to fulfill the statistics requirement before graduation from the RN-BSN program. The first is to complete the online statistics course delivered by RN-BSN faculty at UMMC School of Nursing during the second semester of RN-BSN coursework. The second option allows RN-BSN students to complete a statistics course offered through another regionally accredited institution before graduation from the program.
  • Starting Summer 2021, we are admitting Post-Master's DNP and BSN-DNP (NHCA track) every semester!
