Fueling the Mind: A Plant-Based Approach to Brain Health
Rebecca Turner, MS, RDN, LD, DipACLM
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Department of Preventive Medicine
University of Mississippi Medical Center
A plant-based diet supports brain health by providing nutritional compounds that protect against age-related cognitive decline. Whole plant foods, including legumes, leafy greens, berries, nuts, and whole grains, provide essential nutrients that support memory, focus, and overall cognitive function. A plant-based approach to nutrition also enhances vascular health, ensuring the brain has a steady supply of nourishment to function optimally at any age. Join us to learn more about how to incorporate this into your daily life.
