Pediatric neurologists at Children's of Mississippi, a part of University of Mississippi Medical Center, offer evaluation and treatment for young patients with suspected disorders of the nervous system. This encompasses a wide range of diseases, including, but not limited to, refractory seizure disorders, congenital anomalies and headaches. Medical care is provided in a wide variety of settings, from the ambulatory clinic to the critical care unit.
Our pediatric neurology care team includes board-certified neurologists and a certified nurse practitioner with expertise in childhood neurologic disorders. We are regionally known for expertise in pediatric neuromuscular disorders. Care is supported by other pediatric subspecialists with whom we closely interact to provide the best care for children affected by multiple medical conditions.
Radiology and anesthesia departments provide sedated neurologic scanning on our smallest patients. Electromyography and muscle biopsies are performed by a pediatric neurologist with subspecialty training in neuromuscular diseases.
