The UMMC Difference

In the rapidly growing field of telehealth, it’s critical to choose the right partner. UMMC Telehealth is
part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Mississippi’s only academic medical center and a
trusted institution since 1955.

UMMC was named a Telehealth Center of Excellence by the federal Health Resources and Services
Administration in 2017, one of only two such programs in the country to receive that designation.

UMMC is proud to support the FCC's proposed Connected Care Pilot Program.

In addition to providing patient care, the Center for Telehealth and Emerging Technologies conducts
ongoing research into the effectiveness of telehealth programs and offers training opportunities to
providers at other health care organizations.

UMMC Telehealth is currently offered through select schools, companies, clinics, and health care
providers.
