Children's GI (Gastroenterology)

Main Content

Pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition care offered at Children's of Mississippi provides comprehensive evaluation and management of gastrointestinal, pancreatic, hepatobiliary and nutritional problems in infants, children and adolescents.

Our clinical team is led by physicians board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition. It includes specially trained nurses and dietitians.

In order to diagnose digestive and liver problems, a thorough and accurate medical history must be taken by our staff, noting your child's symptoms and any other pertinent information. A physical examination is also done to help assess the problem more completely. Some patients may require a more extensive diagnostic evaluation, which may include laboratory tests, imaging tests or endoscopic procedures.
