Denise Cornelius, PhD, FAHA is Vice Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. As a trained immunologist, Dr. Cornelius has over 10 years of experience in developing, designing, performing, and optimizing a range of molecular and immune-based assays including genetic phenotyping, immune cell isolation and differentiation, and flow cytometry. Dr. Cornelius' research program focuses is on the immunopathophysiology that drives the development and progression of cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases integrating experimental methods designed for use in basic, translational, and clinical studies.
