Rowland Medical Library Spotlight: e-Anatomy: Learning Anatomy Through Medical Imaging
e-Anatomy is a new resource available through the Rowland Medical Library. It integrates radiologic imaging with detailed anatomical labeling and provides access to a large collection of annotated CT, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound, and anatomical images that can support anatomy instruction, independent study, and clinical training.
e-Anatomy contains more than 27,000 images, including CT, MRI, radiographs, and anatomical illustrations, with approximately 8,900 labeled anatomical structures Organized by body region, e-Anatomy includes modules based on imaging examinations, anatomical illustrations, and photographs grouped by topic. Users can examine structures in multiple planes and imaging modalities, helping to connect anatomical concepts with medical imaging. Interactive labels and search tools facilitate the identification of specific structures and relationships throughout the body.
