DABE Research Day Announcement
The Department of Advanced Biomedical Education is hosting its first Research Day this year. It will take place in the Norman C. Nelson Student Union Gymnasium on Thursday, May 16th, 2024 from 8:30 am-12 pm, with keynote speaker, Dr. Loretta Jackson, kicking off the event.
This event focuses specifically on education-based works and seeks to bring together students, educators, and clinicians from across campus to highlight the intersection of medical practice and pedagogy. The DABE Research Day is seeking submissions for posters from faculty, fellows, and students from across campus. Poster categories include quality improvement projects, research projects, and literature reviews.
With a shared commitment to advancing both the science and art of teaching in medicine, the research day seeks to serve as a catalyst for fostering collaboration, inspiring creativity, and ultimately, enriching the educational experience within our academic medical community here at UMMC.
