Minimum Technology Standards
Operating System:
PC: Windows 11. (Pro is recommended)
Mac: Mojave v. 10.15 (must be 2015 model or newer)
CPU: Intel Core i3-10300 (Core i5 recommended) or AMD Ryzen Pro 3350G
Memory: 8Gb (16 Gb recommended)
Storage: 128 Gb SSD (at least 10Gb available)
Screen Resolution: 1024x768 resolution, 13”
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics 4600 with 2Gb VRAM
Audiovisual: Webcam and Microphone
Network Adapter: Wifi standard 802.11ac. Ethernet port recommended.
Internet Access: 12Mbps or better. If more than one person will use it at the same time, higher speeds are likely to be necessary.
Input Ports: USB or USB-C port with adapter
Students must possess a mobile device or tablet that is capable of Bluetooth connection and running at least iOS 15 or Android 11.
While Mac laptops that are equivalent in specifications are acceptable, the UMMC wireless network and software functions best with Windows devices. Their use is highly recommended.
Note: While iPads and other tablets are useful resources, they are not support by several of the platforms utilized and will not be enough to meet student technology needs.
Inability to take examinations or complete assignments will not be excused due to hardware or internet
