Operational Board

The Operational Board is comprised of chairs and leaders of the core units and affiliates to include UMMC’s Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neurobiology and Anatomical Sciences, Psychiatry and Human Behavior, and Methodist Rehabilitation Center. The Operational Board also consists of a representative from the Vice Chancellor's Office and the UMMC’s Adult Hospital. Additional members may be appointed representing a strong interest in neuroscience. They will:

-Be responsible for the development and oversight of the Institute’s strategic and operating agenda and budget; 

-Focus on health care, education and research initiatives that cross over traditional  departmental boundaries and benefit from multi-departmental and multi-institutional collaboration and support; and

-Set the budget annually including identification and securing of needed funding commitments.
