Center for Immunology and Microbial Research

Welcome to the Center for Immunology and Microbial Research (CIMR).

The CIMR was established in the late fall of 2022 with the purpose of bringing together faculty and clinical investigators with expertise in immunology, emerging infectious diseases, microbial pathogenesis, and antimicrobial resistance to enhance research and facilitate collaborations in these disciplines across UMMC's schools and departments.

The Center's mission is to advance and support research and education by addressing fundamental questions in immunology and microbiology and translating findings into interventions against immune disorders and infectious diseases.

We welcome new members who are actively engaged in basic and/or applied research, education, and clinical studies. Together, we can build a dynamic and collaborative community that drives innovative and interdisciplinary research.
