Immune Deficiency Disorders

Many people are concerned about the strength of their immune system and whether they have normal immune function. A truly weak immune system is characterized by recurrent infections; wounds that take a long time to heal or do not heal at all; infection with an unusual organism; and/or constant infections, particularly of the respiratory tract.

University of Mississippi Medical Center allergists and immunologists offer comprehensive evaluations, including appropriate lab tests, to determine if one or more elements of the immune system may be malfunctioning or missing. A specific treatment plan then is developed to meet each patient's unique needs.
