Iron Kids blends fitness, food and fun to build healthy habits

Having fun while exercising and learning how to make healthy and delicious snacks is part of the fun of Iron Kids, an eight-week series of classes developed as part of occupational therapy graduate Michaela Kelly’s capstone project. The classes will continue this summer, with participants’ referrals coming from Children’s of Mississippi’s pediatric weight management program.

Insight Summer Enrichment Program generates interest in medical careers

The UMMC Insight Summer Enrichment Program is a three-week, intensive learning experience comprising lectures, simulations, real-world skills workshops, and hands-on activities organized and operated by UMMC's department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior.

I can't believe it's already July! Dr. Merideth and I would like to sincerely welcome our newest residents, faculty, and staff members to the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. 2021 has been wonderful so far (certainly better than 2020!) and we're looking forward to the rest of the academic year.
