Biography Information:
Dr. Tasnova Malek graduated from Bangladesh Medical College and practiced as a primary care physician in a rural community hospital in Bangladesh. After moving to the USA, she worked at Emory University Hospital in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Hospital medicine research. She also had extensive clinical exposure in various hospitals in the USA. Currently, she is working on a CDC-funded project at My Brother’s Keeper, Ridgeland, MS as a Community building specialist about transgender health, health disparities, and HIV prevention project. She has special interest in Lifestyle Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She loves hiking, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family. Tasnova is very excited about joining the UMMC Preventive Medicine program.
