New Alumnae
Gwen Davis
Gwen obtained her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics after successfully defending her dissertation entitled, "Blood Pressure, Aging, and Female Growth-Restricted Offspring". She is now a Clinical Pharmacology Fellow at Vanderbilt University.
Adrian Eddy
Adrian obtained her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics after successfully defending her dissertation entitled, "Mechanisms of sFIt-1 Secretion and Efficacy of Novel Anti-Inflammatory Agent in Preeclampsia". She is now a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Aaron Trask's lab at Nationwide Children's Hospital studying coronary artery disease in Type II diabetes.
Ashley Newsome
Ashley obtained her MD/PhD in Physiology and Biophysics after successfully defending her dissertation entitled, "Low Birth Weight and Susceptibility to Renal Injury". She is currently completing her first year of residency here at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in General Surgery.
Erika Williams
Erika obtained her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics after successfully defending her dissertation entitled, "Renal Angioplasty and Therapeutic Angiogenesis for Renovascular Disease: A Novel Treatment Strategy". After leaving UMMC, she will be an Assistant Professor of Physiology at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine.
Victoria Wolf
Victoria obtained her PhD in Physiology and Biophysics after successfully defending her dissertation entitled, "Ovarian Hormones and Hypertension in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus". She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Medical University of South Carolina.
