Dr. Evangeline Deer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and Scientific Director of the UMMC Biobank in the Department of Pharmacology. Dr. Deer has extensive experience and expertise in standard clinical laboratory practices, clinical sample procurement, and clinical and translational research methodologies. As Chair of the UMMC Biospecimen Access Committee, Dr. Deer has successfully increased the biological sampling and processing capabilities of the UMMC Biobank, and the availability of clinical samples to researchers within UMMC and outside of the institution.
