Current Child Neurology Residents
Program: Pediatric Neurology
Year: PGY V
Hometown: Tuscaloosa, AL
Undergrad School: University of Alabama
Medical School: VCOM-Auburn
Why did you choose UMMC?:
During the dinner and interview everyone was very welcoming, but specifically during the dinner I felt at home as if I was socializing with friends and family. Also, as the only children’s hospital in the state, I knew my clinical experiences would be unique and diverse. Likewise, I would have the opportunity to learn from and help underserved children and their families.
Career Interest:
Combine my medical training with my public health background to help improve the health of children and families in the community. I am also interested in gastroenterology, cardiology, and neurology.
What makes you unique?:
I am a first-generation college graduate and first physician in my family.
What you like to do in your free time?:
Spending time with my family, running half-marathons, and cooking.
