Division of Pediatric Nephrology
The Division of Pediatric Nephrology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine educates residents, medical students and fellows in the diagnosis and management of kidney disorders and treatment of kidney disease in infants, children and adolescents. Dialysis, the filtering of waste or toxins from the blood stream, is among the treatments managed by this department, as is transplantation. Research in this division focuses on abnormalities of the kidneys, kidney diseases and kidney damage and injuries.
