Collection Information:	See specific specimen type in Serology/Virology Collection Information by Source. Chlamydia collection kits are available in the laboratory.
Transport Information:	Deliver to lab immediately. All specimens must be signed into the laboratory.
Reference Clients:	If unable to deliver to lab immediately, Cobas PCR media containing inoculated swab must be stored and transported at 2-30° C within 12 months. Urine samples (undiluted) must be stored and transported at 2-30° C within 24 hours.
Causes for Rejection:	Improperly labeled, incorrect container, contaminated, insufficient quantity, incorrect/delay in transport.
Reference Range:	Not detected.
Additional Information:	Swab specimens that are moderately bloody or grossly mucoid may cause inhibition in the assay. Spermicidal agents and feminine powder sprays interfere with the assay.
