Originally from Hyderabad, India, Dr. Vamshi Gorantla received his medical degree from Nanjing Medical University in China. He cherishes time spent with family and loves vacationing with them. His hobbies include console gaming, tennis, pickleball, cricket, and watching movies. On Instagram, he goes by @vamshivasanthr. He chose UMMC for its academic excellence, rare case exposure, and welcoming faculty—all complemented by the warm Mississippi climate. Passionate about teaching, Dr. Gorantla aspires to work in a teaching hospital. A fun fact about him—he’s always dreamed of snorkeling and playing with fish!
