Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Muhammad Awais earned his medical degree from Nishtar Medical University in Multan. A proud father of two brilliant children, he finds daily inspiration in their energy and charm. Outside the hospital, he enjoys cooking—especially exploring both traditional and modern recipes—playing cricket, and staying active. On social media, you can find him on X @AwaisGhalib. Dr. Awais chose UMMC for its outstanding anatomic pathology training, diverse case volume, and the collaborative, supportive environment that nurtures professional growth. He plans to pursue fellowships in surgical pathology and dermatopathology, ultimately aiming for a career in academic pathology to integrate diagnostic work, research, and teaching. A fun fact about him—his authentic dishes have impressed even seasoned chefs! His favorite travel experience was exploring the majestic northern regions of Pakistan, including the breathtaking Hunza Valley and the historic Silk Road.
