Rhinology Skills Lab Opens

A state-of-the-art Rhinology Skills Lab is now available for residents to receive hands-on cadaver and model simulation training throughout the year. This lab offers world-class rhinology and endoscopic skull base training opportunities for students, residents, attending physicians, and community physicians. Each of the four stations includes all of the same equipment that we have available in the operating room, including navigation systems.

Residents participate in a structured teaching session before their rhinology rotations and are encouraged to use the lab to advance their skills throughout the year. The lab hosts the regular resident facial plastics and reconstructive surgery soft tissue and endoscopic ear surgery courses throughout the year. In addition, we will be hosting a sinus dissection refresher course this spring for our statewide otolaryngology partners to assist with their continuing education and skill development.
