Biography Information
I grew up in Ruston, Louisiana. After high school, I attended Louisiana Tech University where I majored in biology and minored in chemistry. During my four years of college and one year between college and medical school, I worked a multitude of part time jobs including office assistant at State Farm Insurance Company, high school football color commentator, camp counselor at Med Camps of Louisiana, and notetaker at LSU Shreveport School of Medicine. I went on to meet my wife (an internal medicine resident at UMMC) in medical school, and we were married one month after our medical school graduation. In my spare time, I enjoy many activities in the great outdoors such as running, hiking, golfing, and water sports. My favorite time of the year is the fall because the weather cools down and football season is in full swing!
