The following are current internal medicine/pediatrics (med/ped) residents in UMMC School of Medicine's Department of Medicine.

Why did you choose UMMC?: The thing that stood out the most about the Med Peds program at UMMC were the residents. My colleagues are enthusiastic, supportive and compassionate individuals that make every day of residency worthwhile. Residency is time consuming and tough road at times, so finding residents that look out for one another like family was a priority for me.

Career Interest
Upon finishing residency, I plan to practice as a general Internist and Pediatrician predominately in a hospital setting. My long term goal, however, is operating my own Med Peds clinic.

What you like to do in free time?
I love to bake treats, playing tennis, reading books and finding new TV series to watch with my husband.

What do you like about the program?
I chose the Med/Peds program at UMMC because of the positive and energetic spirit of their residents and faculty. As a program, I can honestly say that we work well together, look after one another and encourage each other.
