Current Med-Peds Residents
The following are current internal medicine/pediatrics (med/ped) residents in UMMC School of Medicine's Department of Medicine.
Program: Medicine/Pediatrics
Year: PGY IV
Undergrad School: Rhodes College
Medical School: University of Mississippi School of Medicine
Why did you choose UMMC?:
Seeing such a wide spectrum of pathologies on both the Pediatrics and Internal Medicine side, I feel confident that UMMC will best prepare me for whatever career I choose after residency. With a Level IV NICU, Level I pediatric and adult trauma center, a Med-Peds continuity clinic, and just about any fellowship, UMMC offers its residents opportunities to succeed in every field, whether inpatient or outpatient. You can't find more supportive and loving people than at UMMC, and I am lucky to have the opportunity to work here and care for the patients of Mississippi.
Career Interest:
I am still undecided but interested in public health and disease prevention and am hoping to get a Master of Public Health down the road. I've also really enjoyed my time on pediatric and adult cardiology, pulmonary critical care, and oncology so am keeping an open mind to any and all fellowship possibilities!
What you like to do in your free time?:
I love playing soccer (shout out to our intramural team A1C Milan), running, gardening, going to the farmer's market, walking my dog Ginger, cheering on the Memphis Grizzles, eating $1 oysters at Saltine happy hour, and working with Food Recovery Network at UMMC.
