The dinner typically starts around 6 p.m. If you are staying at the Residence Inn, residents will pick you up at 5:45 p.m. in their personal vehicles. Dress is business casual - no coats or ties required. Spouses or significant others are welcome if they also are in town for your interview.How long is the interview day? The interview day starts at 7:30 a.m. and lasts until around 3 p.m.When do I check out of the hotel? Do I have a place to store my luggage? Your interview will not end prior to check-out time on the day of the interview. Therefore, you will need to check out that morning prior to leaving the hotel. You may leave your luggage at the front desk, and they will keep it for you until the end of your interview day.Will I need to drive myself to the interview? If so, where should I park? If you are staying at the Residence Inn, transportation will be provided by the residency program to and from the hospital. If you drive your own vehicle to the interview, park in garage A. An email will be sent the Monday before your interview with your interviewer’s name. Each applicant has four 20-minute interviews with the following: Med/Peds program director, Med/Peds faculty member, Medicine core faculty, and Pediatrics core faculty.Do I need to bring a copy of my CV/personal statement? No. Your interviewers are provided copies of your application prior to your interview, so there is no need for you to bring this information with you to your interview.Where do I send thank-you notes? Thank-you notes are not required, but can be sent to the Internal Medicine education office and will then be distributed to the faculty.
