UMMC Awards

The Pillars "Esprit de Corps" Award, given annually by the UMMC Office of Diversity and Inclusion, acknowledges one team, department, or office that demonstrates successful collaboration on efforts to improve outcomes of diverse communities in any of UMMC’s mission areas of education, research, and health care. Drs. Kendall McKenzie, Risa Moriarity, and Erin Dehon accepted the award on behalf of the Department.

Dr. Erin Dehon was named the Beacon Award Honorable Mention Honoree, which recognizes a faculty member who demonstrates inclusive excellence in teaching, instruction, research, or clinical practice at UMMC. 

Dr. Sarah Sterling received the Trailblazer Teaching Award. The award, given annually by the Office of Medical Education, recognizes educators with a demonstrated record of innovating, engaging, and inspiring others through their service to students in the School of Medicine.
