Skin Cancer Screening Event

In collaboration with the American Academy of Dermatology as part of National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, the physicians and staff at the UMMC Department of Dermatology offered a free skin cancer screening in May to UMMC employees and to the public by appointment. This past year, 120 patients were seen, and multiple patients were referred for suspicious lesions. The department is grateful to all of the faculty, residents, staff, and UMMC medical students from the Dermatology Interest Group who volunteered their time and efforts for the event.
