Alumni Focus
We are pleased to spotlight two UMMC residency alumni and current faculty, Drs. Ira Dan Harber and Caitlyn Reed.
Ira Dan Harber, MD
Dr. Ira Dan Harber reports that he and his wife, Alli, are enjoying time with their two children, Georgia (3) and Lee (2), in Corinth, MS. He is in private practice with the Dermatology Center of North MS, PA, and recently hired a physician's assistant, Kayla McCrory, PA-C to practice at the Corinth location. Ira Dan also sees inpatient consultations at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He serves on the board of directors for the Kiwanis Club of Corinth, and the Harbers are members of First Baptist Church in Corinth. In his free time, he enjoys farming, wine-making, automobile restoration, and outdoorsmanship.
In 2024, Dr. Harber assisted in covering clinic at our Louisville, MS location. The Department of Dermatology is extremely grateful for Dr. Harber's willingness to give back to the program.

Caitlyn Reed, MD
Since graduating residency, Dr. Caityln Reed has been practicing at St. Dominic’s in Madison, MS, as well as doing occasional hospital consults. She has loved building relationships with her patients over the last three years. She writes, "I am so grateful to everyone at UMC who helped to teach me and who continue to help me now when I have tough cases!" When she is not working, she enjoys running, spending time with her family, and planning her next trip. A photo from a recent trip to Washington, D.C., with her husband, Dustin, and children, Charlie, Jack, and Evie, can be seen below.
