MICU - Conerly Critical Care Hospital

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) represents one of the 4 intensive care units in the Conerly Critical Care Hospital, along with the Surgical ICU, Cardiac Care Unit and Neurosciences ICU. It is a 20-bed facility that is staffed by Pulmonary and Critical Care physicians. UMMC serves as the only hospital in the state that offers extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) in its ICUs, which provides advanced support for severe, refractory hypoxemia.
