Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences Estimated Costs, Tuition and Fees - Advanced Standing

UMMC's Student Financial Aid maintains estimated costs of attendance and tuition, including information about SHRP undergraduate programs such as the online advanced standing Radiologic Sciences program.

As stated in the UMMC Bulletin, the Medical Center reserves the right to increase or modify tuition and fees without prior notice, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning.

Estimated additional expenses

In addition to tuition, students should be aware of the following additional expenses:

First year

  • Educational supplies
    • Laptop computer with Microsoft Office software - $1,200
    • External webcam - $50
    • Office supplies - $150
    • Textbooks - $450
  • Other
    • Online fees ($150 per semester) - $450

Total estimated first-year costs - $2,300

Second year

  • Educational supplies
    • Textbooks - $450
    • Office supplies - $150
  • Other
    • Online fees ($150 per semester) - $300

Total estimated second-year costs - $900

Books/electronic device

Books are electronic format. Students are required to have a computer/device to access books and perform additional tasks. This cost is factored into "Educational Supplies" (above) for the junior year.

To ensure that you have a computer/device that meets minimum standards to function with UMMC platforms, it must at least function at the following levels:

  • Windows 10 or newer OR Macintosh: OS X Catalina (10.15) or newer;
  • Must be patched by operating system company regularly;
  • Modern browser such as the latest Chrome or Internet Explorer/Edge; and
  • Must run a modern and updated anti-virus solution.

We do not recommend any thin client devices such as Chromebooks or Google books.

Withdrawal/tuition refunds

Note that the Radiologic Sciences curriculum is designed to be sequential (i.e., all courses for each semester are prerequisites for courses in subsequent semesters). Students are not allowed to withdraw from a single class without withdrawing from the entire program. When a student becomes interested in withdrawing from the program, students should refer to the UMMC Document Center, specifically referencing the Course Withdrawal Policy for the School of Health Related Professions (Policy E-SHRP-GEN-GEN-PO-00014) and the Program Withdrawal Policy for the School of Health Related Professions (Policy E-SHRP-GEN-GEN-PO-00017). Additionally, withdrawal dates are highlighted on the academic calendar provided on the School of Health Related Professions webpage.
