Histotechnology Accreditation and Program Outcomes

The Histotechnology bachelor degree program is seeking programmatic accreditation by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). NAACLS serves as the accrediting body for histotechnology programs in the United States. All documentation regarding the accreditation process is reviewed by NAACLS. The NAACLS Program Review Committee makes recommendations for accreditation to the NAACLS Board of Directors. The NAACLS Board of Directors then awards the final accreditation. Eligibility to take certification exams may depend on whether the program achieves "serious applicant" status.
