Health Sciences Accreditation and Program Requirements

Bachelor's degree

Following satisfactory completion of all requirements, the student will be awarded the bachelor of science in health sciences degree from the University of Mississippi. The Health Sciences program is accredited through UMMC's accreditation by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC). 

Candidates for the health sciences (BS) degree must have completed the prescribed curriculum with an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 or better on a 4.00 scale on all work at UMMC. 

Master's degree

Following satisfactory completion of all requirements, the student will be awarded the master of health sciences degree from the University of Mississippi. The master of health sciences degree program is accredited through UMMC's SACSCOC accreditation.

In order to successfully complete the degree program, a student must complete 36 hours of study with a cumulative MHS program GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
